Miloslava Zatloukalová comes from a locality with a long local tradition of straw plaiting. Through her activity she contributes to the preservation of this traditional craft. Her work is based on traditional forms that were developed under the patronage of the Centre for Folk Art Manufacture (ÚLUV) and acquired a highly aesthetic appearance acceptable for present-day users.

Cultural-historical criterion Miloslava Zatloukalová comes from a locality where straw plaiting has had a tradition for several centuries and her family tries to maintain it. Her work is based on traditional forms that were developed under the patronage of the Centre for Folk Art Manufacture (ÚLUV) and acquire a highly aesthetic appearance acceptable for present-day users.
Ethnographic criterion Products of Miloslava Zatloukalová are made of plaited straw pieces, such as place mats, bags and hats. Other products made in different ways include straw bowls, baskets, woven mats and, last but not least, plaited straw Christmas decorations. Mrs. Zatloukalová's products can be seen at various presentation events, in gift shops, and also during specialised programmes of museums, including the open air museums. She shares her experience and teaches the method at handicraft courses, and passes it on within the family to her daughter who assists the folk artist in her workshop.
